About the role

The Facilities Mechanic Tech III is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance tasks in the hospital’s facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and operate various tools and equipment used in facility maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and staff members regarding facility issues and maintenance needs.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
