Facilities Technician III (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities
- Clean and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) for equipment regularly.
- Install machinery systems.
- Maintain work areas and equipment clean, safe, and organized using the QGT/UCT 6S system.
- Repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures.
- Aid in equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures, proposing corrective actions.
- Aid in job training for technicians when needed.
- Maintain inventory control of equipment tools and parts.
- Perform electrical systems maintenance if certified.
- Inspect and maintain safety and alarm systems.
- Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order.
- Create inspection and repair schedules.
- Aid Selecting and Contract Specialists on larger maintenance-related projects.
- Advise Purchasing Manager during new equipment purchases.
- Train employees on proper equipment usage.
- Aid in on-the-job training of newly hired maintenance technicians.
- Perform administrative computer tasks as needed (BigFoot, Excel, UTI ticketing system, etc.).
- Act as on-call when needed.
- Support and coordinate site projects, leading project segments as requested.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma preferred, or 3 years of utilities and facilities maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and light repair of equipment and facilities.
- Computer skills, including CMMS, MS Office.
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and chemical systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Ability to communicate and direct requirements effectively with equipment manufacturers/suppliers.
- English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read drawings and identify critical quality characteristics.
- Skilled in using AutoCAD or other drafting software (advantage).

- Environmental exposure: Moderate to loud noise levels from machinery, printers, faxes, computers, etc.; exposure to chemistry with proper PPE.

Pay
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $22.79 and $34.23/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
The individual may be required to work shifts. The maintenance technician description in the above may vary according to the business needs and may expand to other areas of facilities such as Waste Treatment, leasehold maintenance, etc.
