As the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming workplace. You will oversee day-to-day facility operations, building maintenance, safety, security, vendor relationships, and employee event coordination. Responsibilities
- Facility & Building Operations
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring the workplace is safe, functional, clean, and well-maintained.
- Manage building systems, including HVAC, utilities, equipment, landscaping, and general maintenance.
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance requests, tenant improvements, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of facility conditions, equipment, repairs, warranties, and service agreements.
- Ensure adequate inventory of facility supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage relationships with contractors, service providers, and facility vendors.
- Solicit and evaluate bids, coordinate vendor work, and ensure services are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage facility budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Review facility costs, operational data, and performance metrics to measure progress against goals.
- Safety, Security & Risk Management
- Oversee workplace safety, security, risk management, and environmental health and safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain emergency response, fire evacuation, and disaster preparedness plans.
- Serve as the Facility Emergency Response Coordinator.
- Coordinate hazardous waste disposal and maintain required regulatory and insurance documentation.
- Coordinate required inspections and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Employee Events & Workplace Experience
- Coordinate and support employee events, meetings, and workplace activities from planning through execution.
- Manage event logistics, including space planning, room setup, catering, supplies, vendors, and day-of coordination.
- Partner with HR and internal teams to plan and execute employee engagement activities and company events.
- Help create a welcoming, organized, and engaging workplace experience for employees and guests.
- Service & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a key point of contact for facility-related needs and requests across the organization.
- Build strong relationships with employees, leaders, vendors, contractors, and external partners.
- Respond quickly and effectively to facility issues, changing priorities, and urgent situations.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the workplace, facility operations, and employee experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facility management, workplace operations, building management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, budgets, and service agreements.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and events simultaneously.
- Knowledge of OSHA, environmental health and safety, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leaders, vendors, and external partners.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and adapt to changing priorities.
Pay
The good faith base salary range for this role at the time of posting and hire is $110,000 – $140,000 per year. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus.
