Responsibilities

  • Supervises, plans, organizes, and directs the operation of the Facilities Management Section.
  • Organizes and directs the Facilities Management duties at the PHEL.
  • Directs maintenance and repair of the building systems in the Hayne building.
  • Interacts with the Office of Administration and all outside contractors as the primary contact person.
  • Directs and participates in the design fabrication of special projects as directed by the Section Directors and Public Health Laboratory Director.
  • Responsible for the telephone and communication services for the Public Health Laboratory and Department of Environmental Services.
  • Responsible for the operation and support of the Hayne Access Control systems.
  • Acts as Property Custodian for the Public Health Laboratory and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and experience or training within the specific work area.

  • Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer or their delegate.
  • If the position requires operating a state vehicle or personal vehicle, a certified copy of a 10-year driving record will be required in the final stages of selection.
