Facilities Maintenance VII - 3rd Shift - New Bern
About the Role
Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as electrical systems, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations.
- Supports operations departments and facility, ensuring equipment safety, availability and reliability.
- Utilizes necessary tools, instruments, and senses to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair production equipment including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proactively identifies sources of operating difficulties and collaborates with the maintenance engineer to develop and implement process or equipment changes.
- Installs and modifies production and facilities equipment, using layouts, diagrams, schematics, etc.
- Has a working knowledge and thorough understanding of plant systems, infrastructure and utilities.
- Utilizes drawings and schematics to complete machine assemblies as well as troubleshoot existing systems.
- Utilizes an advanced understanding of machine controls to troubleshoot and repair existing systems, review existing logic for issues, and collaborate with controls engineer to correct.
- Identifies and requests replacement parts and equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance, repair, and project work orders as assigned, using required and approved processes (safety, equipment, and materials).
- Performs repair work using fabrication skills, including manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, end mills, welding and soldering equipment, plasma cutter, sheet metal brake, and band saw.
- Maintains continuity among maintenance department by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs between individuals and shifts.
- Completes facilities project work as assigned, including evaluating and planning required work, ordering material, and executing the work.
- Mentors and trains lower-level maintenance personnel in advancing their knowledge related to facilities maintenance.
- Works effectively with limited supervision.
- Communicates and performs effectively, both independently and in a team environment.
- Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $66,580 USD - $77,792 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
