We are seeking a proactive Facilities Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our facility in Mobile, Alabama. In this role, you will perform maintenance activities, coordinate repairs, and ensure building systems and infrastructure remain in excellent condition. You will collaborate with employees, contractors, and facility leadership to maintain a productive work environment and support business operations.

Responsibilities
- Conduct facility inspections and safety audits, identifying and addressing potential hazards and maintenance needs.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure.
- Coordinate and monitor work performed by contractors and vendors, providing recommendations on repair and maintenance activities.
- Install and troubleshoot network drops and workstation connectivity as required.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, spare parts, and critical equipment.
- Support facility operations by ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and fire and life safety requirements.
- Optimize facility performance by recommending cost-effective improvements to equipment, processes, and operating practices.
- Assist with facility projects, meeting support activities, and other operational needs as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of facilities maintenance, building operations, or related experience.
- Knowledge of general building systems and maintenance practices, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC fundamentals.
- Experience operating maintenance equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Experience using work order or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Intermediate computer proficiency.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to work at heights using ladders and elevated work platforms.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
