Responsibilities
- Perform servicing and preventative maintenance on building equipment according to service and control instructions.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to support and document maintenance activities.
- Determine when external services are required for facility and building equipment.
- Support external suppliers and vendors during the rebuilding, repair, and commissioning of building equipment and verify the quality of completed work.
- Assist the Facility Manager with remodeling and facility maintenance activities, including carpentry, electrical, HVAC, painting, building repairs, and plumbing.
- Apply knowledge of industrial electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Identify and propose job- and organization-related improvements.
- Assist with equipment installation, including production and communication equipment, modifications, and fabrication.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and applicable safety requirements within the work area.
- Support the availability and reliability of building equipment and infrastructure in a high-volume production environment.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the Facility Manager.
Requirements
- Three to five years of related experience and/or vocational training.
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA requirements.
- Computer skills including SAP, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Fork truck license desired.
- Welding skills desired.
- Experience cutting and threading pipe for air lines desired.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume production environment and support a variety of facility maintenance needs.
