Facilities Maintenance Technician Trainee

Position Responsibilities

• Works alongside maintenance technicians to perform preventative maintenance that meets regulations, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting on building equipment.
• Responsible for remodeling and refurbishing interior and exterior property while keeping areas clean and organized.
• Maintains detailed records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks, including operating a forklift to assist in heavy lifting maintenance procedures and repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Technical School Certification.
