About the role
Performs technical and skilled work in the installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and equipment. Works with low to high voltage systems (12 volt AC/DC up to 3 phase 480 volt), conduits, wires, pull boxes, switch boxes, and switches. Applies basic troubleshooting methods for electrical circuits, observes and reports discrepancies, and suggests appropriate completion methods. Submits accurate and timely work order completion reports.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits using basic methods.
- Work with conduits, wires, pull boxes, switch boxes, and switches.
- Operate vehicles, equipment, and hand/power tools as necessary.
- Maintain tools, equipment, keys, uniforms, and other issued items.
- Assist other personnel as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Basic knowledge and experience working with electricity.
- Ability to diagnose problems and determine proper repair procedures.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of basic safety requirements, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills, knowledge, and techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school graduate.
- Journeyman or Master's License.
