Facilities Maintenance Technician - Bensalem, PA

About the role

Perform journeyworker level repairs in the maintenance and alteration of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and commercial mechanical systems.
• Perform painting, carpentry, masonry, and similar construction‑related work.
• Be on call 24 hours per day, seven days per week for emergency maintenance, repairs, and/or snow removal.
• Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Operate facility‑related equipment and vehicles with snow removal attachments (shovel, plow, snow blower).
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts.
• Plan and manage projects in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
• Work from project plans and drawings.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and required facility parts/material stock in an orderly fashion.
• Assist with office furniture renovations, installations, and inventory management.
• Safely operate hand, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Work with internal customers and maintain Facilities Help Desk requests and assigned services.
• Provide efficient preventive maintenance (PM) program service and address maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate repair records and related documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in one or more of the skilled trades.
• Excellent knowledge of tools and equipment associated with building and construction trades.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards; ability to operate forklifts, aerial work platforms, and other equipment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
