Facilities Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure Jet Midwest facilities and equipment are maintained at a high level of operational readiness and safety
• Support team with daily work assignments, vendor communication, work ticketing system, grooming and progress reporting, preventive maintenance checklist reviews, and related tasks
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on the facility, including ground support equipment, company tooling, safety equipment, and building systems
• Operate motorized lift equipment such as scissor lift, forklift, etc.
• Perform and support hot work/welding and fabrication tasks

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Equally comfortable self-directing or working as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Worked with a CMMS/Work ticketing systems
• Strong knowledge of safety, OSHA, Hazmat, and Environmental Health Hazards
• Experience working in an older facility
• Have experience performing systems maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment
• Have 0-1 years of experience and knowledge of the following: overhead garage doors maintenance, reading schematics, drawings, hydraulic and wiring diagrams, general carpentry, warehouse shelving installation and maintenance, gantry cranes, rigging, and lifting, hot work/welding, steam heating systems

Qualifications

• Frequent bending, reaching, left, climbing stairs/ladders and/or working high off the ground, standing, walking for extended periods of time, working in tight/closed-in spaces, grasping tools and parts, and crouching/or crawling
• Lifting up to 50 lb. may be required
