Facilities Maintenance Technician
About The Role
As a CBRE Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be an indispensable part of our team, directly contributing to the seamless daily operations of our manufacturing/production client. You’ll ensure a safe, reliable, and meticulously maintained environment, providing the critical foundation for their success. This is an onsite opportunity with a consistent Monday–Friday day shift with an on-call rotation, offering stability and a direct connection to the impact of your work. In this dynamic role, you will apply your expertise across diverse facility systems, mastering troubleshooting, performing essential repairs, and executing proactive preventive maintenance. Your efforts will be key to keeping critical production running without interruption, and you'll play a vital part in delivering the high-quality service and support our client depends on to achieve their operational goals.
What You’ll Do
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Perform general building maintenance, including plumbing repairs, kitchen equipment support, grounds upkeep, and other routine facility tasks.
- Conduct regular checks on facility assets, including doors, electrical systems, HVAC units, and plumbing fixtures.
- Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
What You’ll Need
- A High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
- In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Active driver's license required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
