Schedule

  • Days vary; scheduled one month out, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays

About the Role

IAAM is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations. Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, this hands-on role performs HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds work.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and replace HVAC components as needed
  • Complete basic electrical repairs, including light fixtures and receptacles
  • Assist with plumbing, carpentry, painting, grounds, and general facility repairs
  • Operate hand and power tools and HVAC diagnostic equipment
  • Maintain maintenance supplies and replacement-parts inventory
  • Follow safety standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Assist with emergency response and crowd management as needed
  • Provide professional service to staff, contractors, and visitors

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC vocational training or apprenticeship
  • 2+ years of HVAC/facilities maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Strong HVAC knowledge and mechanical/troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and read technical manuals
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Electrical/trades certifications or licenses are a plus
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at elevated heights
  • Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, and perform physical maintenance work
  • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions
