Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment. Their duties include general landscaping, fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards, and identifying, planning, and scheduling major repairs. General upkeep and minor repairs. Perform routine and preventative maintenance. Diagnose and repair broken assets. Keep hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean. In charge of landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming trees, and planting flowers. Digs ditches and drainage. Performs general machine maintenance, including oil changes. Cuts and splits wood and maintains the fireplace in season. Paints and stains indoors and outdoors as necessary. Shovels and plows snow, and salts sidewalks and parking lots. Maintains building systems and keeps the lodge in good working order. Maintain accurate records of performed maintenance tasks. Follow safety precautions and adhere to the set schedule. High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems. Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician. Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds. Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods. Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices. Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills. Related experience a plus but not required. Must be able to pass a level 2 background check. On-the-job training offered.
