About the role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs ongoing facility maintenance and completes repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- General landscaping, including mowing, trimming trees, and planting flowers
- Fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring
- Inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards
- Identifying, planning, and scheduling major repairs
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing broken assets
- Keeping hand tools, power tools, and supplies organized and clean
- Digging ditches and drainage
- Performing general machine maintenance, including oil changes
- Cutting and splitting wood and maintaining the fireplace in season
- Painting and staining indoors and outdoors as necessary
- Shoveling and plowing snow, and salting sidewalks and parking lots
- Maintaining building systems and keeping the lodge in good working order
- Maintaining accurate records of performed maintenance tasks
- Following safety precautions and adhering to the set schedule
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to pass a level 2 background check
- Must be 21+ years of age
Training
- Must attend all assigned training days (paid)
- On-the-job training offered
