Facilities Maintenance Technician

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on CCC mechanical systems; to include but not limited to lubricating motors, changing filters, checking for damage, chemical treating systems, monitoring computer systems.
• Clean, monitor, repair, and diagnose heating systems; calibrate gas and electronic fired boilers, maintain and verify proper gas pressure and water temperature, maintain proper water flow, program thermostat and electronic control.
• Maintain and monitor Hydronic heating/cooling systems; clean and replace filters, service and repair pumps, monitor pressures, monitor water flows.
• Maintain, repair and operate Desigo and other technical applications.
• Remove, relocate, diagnose and repair electrical systems in all CCC facilities.
• Maintain, repair and replace plumbing fixtures to include tanks, showers, water filters, sump pumps, vacuum breakers, pipes, drains and timers.
• Flush and clean plumbing systems.
• Install, repair and replace door alarms.
• Test and monitor campus fire alarm systems.

Essential Skills

• Ability to use Outlook, Microsoft Suite, technical applications such as a ticketing system, building automation and management systems.
• Ability to read, write, type and speak clearly.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent and continuous sitting/moving about.
• Continuous use of fine motor skills.
• Pushing and pulling of up to 100 lbs.
• Able to climb a ladder in or around tight spaces.

Schedule Details

• Must be available to work 40 hrs. per week with normal work hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.
