Qualifications
ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR A RELATED FIELD; AND TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN DATABASE MANAGEMENT, SYSTEMS ANALYSIS, COMPUTER OPERATIONS, AND/OR PROGRAMMING. (ONE (1) YEAR OF LEAD OR SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IS DESIRABLE); OR A YEAR FOR YEAR INTERCHANGE OF RELATED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EQUAL TO THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.
Essential Duties
- Designs and maintains databases, tables, and spreadsheets for use by an assigned County department.
- Provides lead direction to staff assisting in data entry as required.
- Collects data from a variety of sources and conducts data analysis.
- Generates reports; produces graphical data displays; and works with vendors to design, load, index, and display large informational databases.
- Runs systems diagnostics and maintains system operability in a client/server environment.
- Provides systems analysis, development, and support and performs programming tasks.
- Serves as a departmental liaison to the Department of Information Technology and monitors adherence to established information systems and network protocols.
