Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

The ABM Facilities Maintenance position performs general maintenance for Mercury Marine at the Fond du Lac campus plants and associated Wisconsin plants. Duties include completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, operating various maintenance equipment, and assisting with minor plumbing work.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders utilizing Mercury's computer maintenance management systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to campus access control equipment, including entrance turnstiles, access gates, and emergency exits.
• Performs required inspections of systems such as elevators, fire extinguishers, and pressure vessel systems.
• Operates a variety of maintenance equipment including drills and hand and power tools; operates a forklift and powered industrial truck (PIT).
• Performs snow removal duties using plow vehicles and equipment.
• Affords assistance with minor plumbing work orders.
• Performs other job-related duties assigned by Mercury Project Manager or ABM Supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack.
• Comprehensive knowledge of specific methods, practices, and tools related to facilities and system maintenance.
• Effective scheduling, organization, coordination, and adherence to safety measures and procedures under stress and within pressing deadlines.
• Flexible work hours determined by operational and building needs.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within a diverse environment.
