About the role
The Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 plays an essential role in upholding the resort’s elevated standards by completing skilled maintenance projects, performing proactive preventive care, and responding swiftly to work orders.
Responsibilities
- Handle guest requests, routine maintenance, and special projects around the resort.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, and basic HVAC.
- Keep interiors looking great with wall, paint, tile, flooring, and carpet repairs.
- Maintain pools, spas, and water features including cleaning and chemical checks.
- Use resort systems (like HotSOS) to track work and stay organized.
- Support inventory needs to ensure tools and materials are ready to go.
- Communicate professionally with guests and team members.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and ladders while following all safety standards.
- Help identify hazards and keep the property safe and well-maintained.
- Represent the resort with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
- Other responsibilities assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English is required.
- Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with enthusiasm and focus.
- Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
