Facilities Maintenance Technician 2
Job Description
As the Facilities Maintenance Technician 2, you will support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. You will troubleshoot plumbing issues, make repairs, and replace fixtures and piping as needed. You will diagnose, replace, and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts. You will troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures. You will understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics. You will repair interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, and caulking. You will repair or replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as required. You will work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks. You will participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work. You will operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems). You will communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions. You will perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management. You will safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools required for the job. You will work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). You will follow safety guidelines and practices. You will recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property. You will communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English is required.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort.
- Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with enthusiasm and focus.
- Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
