Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Principal Responsibilities
- Writes MWO's for obvious defects noted while working, traveling between areas, or informed by other staff.
- Priorities MWO's based on a defined priority system.
- Determines if maintenance and repair can be completed by in-house staff or contracted to others.
- Supervises the operation of the Boiler House, Plumbing, Mechanical Maintenance, Waste Management Departments.
- Ensures adequate and reliable systems, continuity of service maintenance, and plant safety.
- Insures proper installation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment and systems.
- Supervises Preventive Maintenance and safety programs for all Boiler House, Plumbing, Mechanical Maintenance and Waste Management equipment and systems.
- Maintains and inspects Boiler House, Plumbing, HVAC and Waste Management systems during both normal and emergency situations.
- Affords assistance in employee interviews and attends internal and external meetings and seminars.
- Keeps updated with Facilities Maintenance Department Procedures Manual.
- Maintains accurate records and manuals related to all Boiler House, Plumbing, Mechanical Maintenance and Waste Management Equipment and systems.
- Keeps time and attendance records of all staff and evaluates staff performance.
- Maintains records related to staff activities and performance.
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma minimum, Vocational or Technical School Training in HVAC or Building Maintenance preferred.
- Two-year College Degree in HVAC or Engineering Technology highly desirable.
- Five (5) years of progressively greater responsibility in supervision of operation of an institutional steam generating facility and facilities maintenance.
Pay & Benefits
Pay Range: $23.40 - 33.95
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
