Job Summary
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the physical plant, including interior and exterior, and related building systems for all properties
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire safety, and environmental regulations
- Schedule and supervise full-time maintenance and cleaning staff
- Direct all carpentry, painting, electrical, engineering, and cleaning/custodial services, including preventive and repair maintenance
- Work in conjunction with Manufacturing Supervisors to provide support for manufacturing equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and preventative maintenance programs in the CMMS program
- Generate periodic facilities performance and maintenance reports for management review
- Aid the development of building maintenance and safety procedures manuals
- Supervise outside vendor performance to ensure compliance with specifications
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including maintenance, monitoring, and making minor repairs to building equipment and systems
- Support energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs
Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Must have technical, vocational, or on the job training in HVAC
- Minor electrical and plumbing, light carpentry, and routine preventative maintenance experience
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, Fire Safety, steam heating, plumbing, electrical and roofing systems
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Familiar with electronic work order and preventative maintenance systems
- Able to prioritize in a high-volume environment under tight deadlines, controlled budgets, and time constraints
- Experience managing budgets and achieving competitive pricing with suppliers/vendors
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and great organizational skills are a must
- Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays to service a 24 hour/7 day per week operation as needed
Education Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with building operations
Physical Requirements
- Frequently performing repetitive work
- Occasionally lifting (max. 40 lbs.), carrying (max. 40 lbs.), and carrying out safety glasses and full PPE
- Constantly exposed to high noise levels from operating machines, breathing fumes, dust and mist, and skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
