About the role
McKesson's temperature controlled automated Distribution Center is currently hiring a junior to intermediate level Facility/Maintenance/Service Technician. This is a chance to work for a company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. The distribution team is seeking an individual who has repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks. This candidate should be able to communicate professionally with a wide range of groups from upper management to front line employees and possess an aptitude to learn quickly on new conveyance systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex technical tasks related to facility systems maintenance and repair
- Troubleshoot equipment issues across a variety of systems used in a distribution center environment
- Communicate professionally with groups from upper management to front line employees
- Learn and adapt quickly to new conveyance systems
- Safely use various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade including hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, and others
- Follow lock out/tag out and OSHA safety protocols
- Work at heights up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift and fork truck use
Requirements
- Facility, maintenance or service technician experience
- Troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment
- Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)
- Basic knowledge/exposure to warehouse work environments
- Basic knowledge/exposure to various trades
- Knowledge of lock out/tag out and OSHA
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, perform general labor, use ladder, scissor lift and fork truck
- Ability to climb up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work at heights at times
Pay
- $28-32/hr
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm
- Shift subject to change based on needs of the business
- OT mandatory if required
