About the role

McKesson's temperature controlled automated Distribution Center is currently hiring a junior to intermediate level Facility/Maintenance/Service Technician. This is a chance to work for a company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. The distribution team is seeking an individual who has repair experience and knowledge of a broad range of complex facility systems. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform complex technical tasks. This candidate should be able to communicate professionally with a wide range of groups from upper management to front line employees and possess an aptitude to learn quickly on new conveyance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex technical tasks related to facility systems maintenance and repair
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues across a variety of systems used in a distribution center environment
  • Communicate professionally with groups from upper management to front line employees
  • Learn and adapt quickly to new conveyance systems
  • Safely use various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade including hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, and others
  • Follow lock out/tag out and OSHA safety protocols
  • Work at heights up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift and fork truck use

Requirements

  • Facility, maintenance or service technician experience
  • Troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment
  • Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to warehouse work environments
  • Basic knowledge/exposure to various trades
  • Knowledge of lock out/tag out and OSHA
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, perform general labor, use ladder, scissor lift and fork truck
  • Ability to climb up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to work at heights at times

Pay

  • $28-32/hr

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm
  • Shift subject to change based on needs of the business
  • OT mandatory if required
