Facilities Maintenance Service Technician - Distribution Center

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various facility systems within McKesson’s temperature-controlled automated Distribution Center. This role requires troubleshooting and repair experience with a broad range of complex equipment used in a distribution center environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain various facility systems including hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.
• Communicate professionally with a wide range of groups including upper management and front-line employees.
• Perform complex technical tasks and learn quickly on new conveyance systems.

Requirements

• Facility, maintenance, or service technician experience.
• Troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment.
• Basic knowledge/exposure to warehouse work environments and various trades.
• Knowledge of lock out/tag out and OHSA.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.
• May work at heights at times.
