About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for completing scheduled and non-scheduled work as directed by the building maintenance supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep and update the lighting in the facility, including re-lamping, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing fixtures
• Maintain and upgrade plumbing systems, including cleaning drains; installing and troubleshooting fixtures, and repairing drain pans
• Perform general carpentry, including installation of partition, drywall repair, and finish carpentry and painting
• Conduct masonry repairs for forklift damage, patching concrete floors and walls, and pouring concrete bollards
• Perform electrical work by installing commercial wiring; troubleshooting and repairing commercial wiring
• Perform HVAC troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain and repair loading docks, overhead doors, and recycling equipment
• Clean facilities and restock paper products
• Boiler repair and maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 to 3 years of work experience in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, security, or fire alarm systems
