Key Responsibilities
- Cook up and track preventive maintenance activities and work orders.
- Assist with scheduling contractors, vendors, and internal maintenance staff.
- Perform basic union approved maintenance repair tasks and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Conduct frequent facility inspections and identify maintenance deficiencies or safety concerns.
- Update CMMS/work order systems with status notes, completion details, and documentation.
- Support inventory management for maintenance supplies and parts.
- Communicate building occupants and management regarding maintenance activities and service requests.
- Aid in emergency response and after-hours maintenance issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and building regulations.
- Support project coordination for small facility improvement projects.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical/trade school or related facility maintenance experience is preferred.
- Two to five years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related field is required.
- A basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems is necessary.
- Experience using CMMS or work order management systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
