Facilities Maintenance -1st Shift

About the role

Facilities Maintenance helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the building and facility.

Responsibilities

• Handle building and building repairs
• Conduct and maintain building inventories
• Move and assemble furniture, handle cleaning, painting, and stocking of employee areas
• Perform inside and outside clean-up, maintenance, and operate site equipment and hand/power tools as needed
• Assist Front Desk Admin with various tasks and update work request status
• Transport supplies and manage off-site storage
• Open and close daily work orders routed from the work order system
• Communicate and coordinate with end users on work order tasks
• Assist with equipment and instrument moves as directed
• Assist employees with office moves
• Perform general ongoing building maintenance (e.g., light bulb replacement, wall patching/painting, lab bench modifications, sign hanging, shelving, and rack building)
• Perform corrective actions per EHS observations
• Conduct monthly emergency shower testing, fire extinguisher monitoring, and AED monitoring
• Escort and oversee onsite facility-related vendors, ensuring compliance with guidelines
• Set up and take down company events, including moving chairs and tables

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, as a handyman, or in a skilled trade (e.g., roofing, landscaping, plumbing) preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Ability to bend, stand for long periods, and lift up to 30 pounds
• Good communication skills
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks

Pay

Annual salary range: $49,920 - $54,080 ($24.00 - $26.00 per hour). Actual base pay within this range will be determined based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
