Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building infrastructure.
- Lead and guide a team of maintenance technicians, providing technical expertise, training, and support.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Carry out regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and building codes.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Aid in budget planning for facility maintenance and repairs.
- Operate and maintain building management systems (BMS) as required.
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation and cost reduction within facility operations.
Job Qualifications
- Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- May have degree or equivalent High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or vocational training in a relevant technical field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, mechanical) preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (up to 480V), plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and train others.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and basic computer applications.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or other relevant trades are highly desirable.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.36 - $38.94 per hour. This range is determined by several factors, including performance, experience, and skills, and is compliant with applicable regulations.
