Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Walk the property daily, including campsites, trails, roads, and common areas, to assess conditions and identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain the overall appearance of the ranch, including lawns, landscaping, campsites, and outdoor gathering spaces.
- Trim bushes, shrubs, and trees; clear debris; and ensure grounds are clean and presentable at all times.
- Pick up and remove trash throughout the property; maintain and empty trash and recycling containers.
- Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides as directed.
- Auxiliary with seasonal property needs such as weather-related cleanup and maintenance.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, restrooms, cabins, and shared facilities.
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Ensure all equipment, fixtures, and systems are functioning properly and address issues promptly.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and assist with larger repair projects or contractors when needed.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, following all safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain ranch roads, including grading, leveling, drainage management, and general upkeep.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and other machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and power equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Auxiliary with moving materials, supplies, and equipment across the property.
- Ensure all public areas, campsites, and facilities meet cleanliness and safety standards.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely, professional, and helpful manner.
- Maintain a high standard of guest relations when interacting with visitors.
- Auxiliary with event setup, breakdown, and general operational support as needed.
- Auxiliary with inventory of maintenance supplies and notify leadership of needed materials.
- Support team members across departments when needed and proactively assist when tasks are completed.
- Follow all property standards, policies, and procedures in daily operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience operating equipment such as tractors or similar machinery strongly preferred.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
- Comfortable performing physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or general maintenance is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and adaptable in various situations.
- Good communication and multitasking skills.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
