Responsibilities
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on building systems and laboratory equipment to ensure safe and reliable facility operations.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems daily to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues across the facility and implement effective solutions.
- Work hands-on with motors, pumps, chillers, boilers, and laboratory equipment such as autoclaves and cryogenic units to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely GMP documentation of all maintenance activities using CMMS software, preferably Blue Mountain, in alignment with FDA and cGMP standards.
- Operate, monitor, and adjust building automation systems, including BMS, EMS, and PLCs, to maintain proper environmental and process conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing and laboratory environment to support production needs and facility improvements.
- Follow cGMP and FDA regulatory requirements for all maintenance activities to support a compliant, audit-ready facility.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or facilities engineering roles, preferably within regulated or manufacturing environments.
- Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field or closely related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with chemical manufacturing equipment in an industrial or laboratory setting.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, chillers, and boilers.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including facility power distribution and equipment-level components.
- Familiarity with GMP environments and FDA regulations, including working under cGMP guidelines.
- Experience maintaining cGMP-compliant documentation of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
