About the role

The Facilities Engineer supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate building systems and equipment.
  • Ensure the reliability and safety of the facility.
  • Develop knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Support the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services.

Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Stationary engineer apprenticeship or Electrician apprenticeship and equivalent training or work experience.
  • National Electrician Supervisor License - State County City Trade License Authority or National Electrician Journeyman License - State County City Trade License Authority or National Electrician Limited Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority or National Electrician Limited Building Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority.
  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role.
  • Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving.
  • Upon request: Proof of driver license and auto insurance.

Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training: Computerized building management systems (DDC) or equivalent education/experience.
  • EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification.
  • ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification.
  • OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification.
  • Oregon Boiler License – Class 2 or higher.
  • Experience in central plant operations and maintenance.
  • Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform the duties of a stationary engineer and maintenance electrician.
  • Continuous development of knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
