Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services.
• Maintains building systems and equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
• Operates and maintains building systems and equipment.
• Monitors building systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
• Develops and implements maintenance plans for building systems and equipment.
• Performs troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Continuously develops knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies.

Requirements

• Courses/Training: Stationary engineer apprenticeship or Electrician apprenticeship and equivalent training or work experience.
• Licenses: National Electrician Supervisor License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire or, National Electrician Journeyman License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire or, National Electrician Limited Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire or, National Electrician Limited Building Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire.
• Experience: 3 years - Experience in central plant operations and maintenance. Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.

Qualifications

• Courses/Training: Computerized building management systems (DDC) or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications: EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification upon hire, ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification upon hire, OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification upon hire, Oregon Boiler License – Class 2 or higher upon hire.

Skills

• Working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform the duties of a stationary engineer and maintenance electrician.
• Continuous development of knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies.

Pay

$29.56 - $45.88 per hour, depending on relevant job experience and other applicable factors.

Schedule

Full time, Night schedule.
