Facilities Coordinator (Onsite in Austin, TX)
About The Role
CBRE is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to support operations for a cutting-edge technology client at the forefront of autonomous mobility. This organization is redefining how people and goods move through cities using advanced automation and innovative solutions. In this onsite role, you’ll support two operational facilities in Austin (approximately 20 minutes apart), partnering with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless day-to-day facility operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, startup-style environment and enjoys solving problems creatively. Regular travel between sites is required.
What You’ll Do
- Cook up daily facility operations, ensuring work orders and service requests are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Manage vendors, including scheduling, performance tracking, and service delivery oversight.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client inquiries and facility-related requests.
- Create and manage purchase orders, supporting procurement and budget tracking activities.
- Maintain documentation, including work orders, vendor records, and operational reports.
- Monitor site conditions, including safety, waste management, and general maintenance.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as light maintenance support and use of ladders when required.
What You’ll Need
- A High School Diploma or GED with 1–2 years of relevant experience in facilities, operations, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with vendor coordination, purchasing, or procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to solve problems using established procedures while adapting to changing needs.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting, moving materials, and working on a ladder.
- Adaptability and a proactive mindset suited to a startup-like, evolving work environment.
