Facilities Coordinator

About the role
The Facilities Coordinator is directly responsible for minor maintenance tasks within the building and the coordination of major repairs, communication, and follow-up action. The coordinator maintains checklists, opens work orders, and files records on the facility. The coordinator participates in store activities such as floor moves and personal appearances as directed by Store Management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate General Facilities activities for the entire physical plant.
- Supervise renovations and remodels.
- Manage in-store workers contracted from NG&G.
- Maintain lighting and ballast supplies including changing bulbs as necessary.
- Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure maintenance of Store Standards.
- Conduct Facilities Audits and Inspections.
- Perform Store Opening Duties (where applicable, turn on lights, HVAC, escalators, unlock doors).
- Perform POS / Scanner Repairs and basic POS Maintenance (replace printer, monitor, movement).
- Perform touch-up and spot painting and complete repairs to fixtures, carpet, flooring, hinges, locks.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Support floor moves and fixture / cash wrap movement.
- Respond to store emergency calls and situations.
- Monitor trash hauling compactor.
- Be a Member of Store Safety Committee.
- Maintain and track work orders, Kone repairs, and purchase orders, securing authorization as needed and issuing work orders to Saks, Inc. when beyond Facilities scope.
- Approve and maintain records of contract labor, including HVAC, vertical transportation, national gate, and glass services.
- Coordinate telephone and PC/CRT repairs, including printers and related equipment.
- Develop and utilize inspection checklists to communicate observations, coordinate deliveries, and work with Property Management, and ensure Certificates of Insurance are received and maintained.
- Ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of facilities operations experience.
- Ability to follow up on assignments and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task to complete requirements.
- Well organized and maintains accurate records.
- Possesses basic computer skills and knowledge.

Pay
Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Salary Range: $22.82 - $28.53 per hour.
