Facilities Command Center Technician

About the role

As an Operations Center Technician, you'll help maintain business continuity across Epic's global campuses by monitoring real-time alerts, managing access and security systems, and overseeing building operations from our Facilities Command Center.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data
  • Cook up to restaurant-quality meals for free
  • Coordinate emergency responses when disruptions such as natural disasters or power outages occur
  • Work closely with internal teams and emergency services to ensure a safe environment and restore normal operations quickly and effectively

Requirements

  • Live affordably in a city known for its rising tech talent
  • Be open to working 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as weekends
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Be willing to relocate to the Madison, WI area (relocation assistance available)

Qualifications

  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, real-time environment
  • Experience or interest in security operations, emergency response, or a related high-volume field

Skills

  • Knowledge of security systems and access management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule
