The City and County of Denver offers competitive pay commensurate with experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $95,000 - $127,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

Design Engineering and Construction (DEC)
DEC serves as DEN’s primary delivery arm for design and construction, and the Facility Projects group manages more than $325 million in projects across the airport’s built environment, including new and existing buildings, systems, and equipment with a focus on sustainability, total cost of ownership, and design excellence.
What You’ll Bring
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- Three or more years of engineering, architecture, and/or construction management experience, including demonstrated work on aviation or other critical-operations facility projects similar to DEN
- Experience engaging, coordinating, and partnering with diverse stakeholders throughout facility project design and construction efforts
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with contractors and apply an understanding of the municipal contract conditions
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating effectively with a diverse group of individuals
- Background in the architectural, engineering, and/or construction management industries, supported by strong educational and/or experiential foundations
- Demonstrated drive and passion for delivering high-quality, creative, and technically sound solutions to unique and complex problems
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Prowen capability to contribute effectively within interdisciplinary teams and dynamic project environments
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field
- Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including coordinating, administering, and monitoring projects
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education
- Licenses and certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
