Facilities Area Manager

You will lead a team of facilities/maintenance mechanics to support 24/7 production operations. Be a leader in building in areas of development, safety, and housekeeping. Ensure building and equipment perform at optimal levels to support fulfillment operations in shipping orders to our customers.
Where You'll Work
This role is onsite and will require you to work from our Bethlehem, PA. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- Leads a shift of facilities mechanics to support fulfillment operations.
- Aids the Facilities Manager in developing short- and long-term goals for the department.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with Operations.
- Communicates directly with the Operations department to coordinate maintenance work on equipment.
- Performs administrative responsibilities, including payroll management, individual development plans, performance improvement plans, coaching, evaluations, and regular one-on-one meetings.
- Reviews work orders for accuracy and completion against standards.
- Provides metrics and details to the Facilities Manager.
- Assigns work, including developing work orders, reviewing assets for accuracy, and managing inventory.
- Ensures accurate inventory accounting by ensuring you account for spare parts in work orders, against correct equipment.
- Maintains the proper checkout process.
- Maintains and audits preventative maintenance programs to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and applicability to maintain equipment in optimal levels for production.
- Fulfills maintenance procedures as outlined in department procedures.
- Participates and oversees building projects, including capital improvements, asset replacements, and construction as assigned.
- May also be involved in process improvement projects at the site level.
- Collaborates with operations on programs for implementing continuous improvement projects and participates in Kaizen events.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in fulfillment/distribution, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent military experience.
- Combined electrical and mechanical experience with a basic knowledge of construction.
- Preferred 5 years maintenance management experience in fulfillment/distribution, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent military experience.
