Facilities and Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Responsible for completion of work orders for tasks related to TAE Facilities, warehousing, and asset management. Key duties include:

  • Clearing out and consolidating items in the warehouse.
  • Working with vendors to find the best solution for disposing or recycling of TAE assets.
  • Assisting management in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories, and logs.
  • Following a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintaining all related records and logs.
  • Communicating effectively to appropriate individuals about building status and changes.
  • Adhering to all safety standards, policies & procedures, codes of conduct, and best practices.
  • Acting in a professional and courteous manner with co-workers, vendors, etc.
  • Utilizing materials, supplies, tools, and other building property in a safe, productive manner.
  • Performing building maintenance and other duties/special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related work experience and technical training.
  • Class C Driver’s License.
  • High school graduate or GED required; technical school training in maintenance-related courses is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer’s specifications, and written operational procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations.
  • Forklift and Pallet Jack experience required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Capable of extensive walking, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software such as inventory control and asset management programs.
  • Working knowledge of tools and their proper use.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $35.00 - $40.00 an hour.
