About the role

Great Mines Health Center is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. This role is essential to ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to work orders and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues.
• Assist with minor construction projects, renovations, and installations as needed.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; order materials as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work is a plus.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
