Responsibilities
- Own all plant facilities, utilities, and infrastructure systems, including:Boilers, steam systems, compressed air, HVAC, refrigerationElectrical distribution and energy systemsWater, wastewater, and waste handling systemsBuildings, grounds, roofing, asphalt, and structural assets
- Ensure all systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Lead execution of all site level facilities and infrastructure capital projects
- Coordinate project scope, timing, and execution with Unit Capital Leaders and Engineering
- Oversee contractors, budgets, schedules, and quality of work from concept through completion
- Ensure smooth commissioning and handoff to Operations and Maintenance
- Sustainability, Waste & Resource Management: Develop and implement waste management strategies to minimize waste generationIdentify and eliminate losses related to air, water, steam, electricity, and utilities usageDrive energy efficiency, water stewardship, and sustainability initiativesTrack performance and ensure accurate reporting of utilities and waste metrics
- Safety, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all facilities and infrastructure systems meet safety regulations, environmental requirements, and best practices
- Lead risk assessments, inspections, and corrective actions for facilities and utility systems
- Support audits and regulatory inspections related to facilities, utilities, and environmental compliance
- Reliability & Asset Care: Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to develop reliability strategies for support and utility equipment
- Ensure preventive maintenance standards and asset care programs are in place and executed
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for infrastructure related downtime or failures
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers supporting facilities and utilities
- Ensure contractor safety, performance, and compliance with site standards
- Develop and manage service contracts and long-term infrastructure plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of experience leading facilities, utilities, or infrastructure in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 3 -5 years of experience managing capital projects and contractors
- Strong understanding of plant utilities, building systems, and infrastructure assets preferred
- Knowledge of environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements related to facilities and utilities preferred
- Experience with sustainability, energy management, or water stewardship programs
- Experience in food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
- Project management certification or formal capital project experience
- Leadership experience managing technical or facilities teams
