Responsible for
- Maintenance and repair of motor driven roller (MDR) and line shaft conveyor systems
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) during routine conveyor maintenance
- Manage equipment spare parts inventory
- Interface with internal site departments and manage outside contractors and vendors
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
- Assist with directing site contractor services and PM’s
- Monitor and report on electrical, mechanical, lighting, & plumbing systems
- Manage materials handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack)
- Support safety initiatives
- Drive lean manufacturing principles
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellence in technical and operational knowledge of conveyor system automation
- Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience in a related position, preferably in a distribution center or equipment maintenance environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues effectively
- Positive mental attitude, dependability, dedication, and strong work ethic
- Able to train and mentor others
- Occasional on-call coverage required
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical vocational training or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, facilities / plant management
- Working knowledge of automation systems using WMS & CMMS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Forklift, scissor lift, and single-man lift experience
- Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Job Environment
- Distribution warehouse environment
- Walking, sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 40 lbs
- Moderate to high noise levels in the work environment
- Varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed
About the Role
ResMed is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support their Atlanta distribution center. The role involves troubleshooting and maintaining conveyor automation, performing routine facility maintenance, and ensuring safe, reliable operations. The technician will interface with all internal site departments and manage outside contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed safely. They will also assist with directing site contractor services and PM’s, including HVAC, generator, air compressor, sprinkler systems, fire risers, fire extinguisher inspections, electrical maintenance, dock door and leveler maintenance, pest control, janitorial, and other supporting site equipment and services.
