Fabricator/ Welder

About the Role

The Fabricator/Welder fabricates, fits, and welds steel components according to engineering drawings and company specifications. This role requires blueprint reading, dimensional accuracy, quality workmanship, and safe work practices. A pre-employment welding test is required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Measure, cut, fit, and fabricate metal components.
• Perform MIG and Flux-Core (FCAW) welding.
• Weld in multiple positions.
• Operate fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect welds for quality and specification compliance.
• Prepare products for painting.
• Maintain equipment and work area.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a welding test.
• Safe operation of shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• 2+ years of fabrication and blueprint reading experience.
• Trade school training.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with MIG, FCAW, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma cutting, and structural steel fabrication.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, dust, and noise. PPE required. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
