Fabricator/Welder

About the role

Fabricator/Welder position focused on fabrication and welding of oilfield equipment. This is an opportunity to join a growing and successful dealer group.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, weld, and repair oilfield equipment
• Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances
• Work from drawings, blueprints, verbal instructions, and other specifications
• Flag time worked and write stories
• Clean and maintain welding equipment
• Adhere to safety procedures

Qualifications

• Formal technical training degree, certificate, or diploma preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with fabrication and welding on both metal and aluminum
• Able to handle heavy materials manually and with machinery
• Possess general tools to perform minor mechanical duties
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Able to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, blueprints, and various other technical bulletins
• Able to use a computer keyboard and basic Windows applications
• Able to work in an environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements
• Able to work 8–10 hour days, including overtime as needed
• Able to bend, stoop, crawl, walk, and sit regularly, with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
