Fabrications Team Lead - 3rd shift

About the role

This is a terrific opportunity to join the Caterpillar North Little Rock, AR team as a Team Lead on our 2nd shift team earning day ONE benefits and a starting wage of $25.75/hour PLUS 7% shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/test parts, components, or systems for wheel loaders and motor graders according to the specified work orders.
• Work under general supervision to coordinate, oversee, and monitor activities within a specific factory function in Assembly.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by leading the team.
• Perform administrative functions and be the first point of contact for questions related to employee job functions.
• Communicate potential build schedule, inventory, or manpower issues and solutions to the section manager.

Requirements

• Resume Required
• “Expected” or greater level of performance
• Previous experience in machine assembly
• Experience working with lean manufacturing principles
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform repetitive operations
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Qualifications

• Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge) in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Previous Leadership experience
• Advanced problem solving/troubleshooting ability and root cause corrective action
• Ability to multitask
• Read/write and interpret documents and follow standard work instructions
• Retain and transfer knowledge to others

Skills

• Knowledge of assembly procedures
• Standard work schedules
• Quality requirements and build requirements in assigned work area
• Use various tools provided in the work area to perform assembly duties
• Follow CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, Standard Work and Built in Quality

Pay

Schedule

Openings available on 3rd shift: Monday – Friday, 11 pm – 7 am. You will end your week Saturday at 7am. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.
