Fabrication Supervisor - 3rd Shift
About the role
Fabrication Supervisor- 3rd Shift at PROENERGY oversees a shift, group, or team of direct labor workers. This position reports to a Fabrication Manager and is based at 2001 Proenergy Blvd., Sedalia, MO 65301. Key responsibilities include ensuring a safe work environment, maintaining high-quality products and personnel, and achieving on-time schedule attainment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate direct reports both formally and informally
- Ensure expectations are understood for safety, quality, and productivity
- Awareness of Company information/news, policy, and expectations
- Effective communication across the Company
- Safety – all near misses and incident reporting with appropriate escalation
- Quality – responsible for accurate NCR reporting, redlining, and escalation of issues
- Timekeeping for reports and payroll completion
- Issue Helpdesk tickets as required
- Schedule attainment communication and documentation
- Mid-year and annual employee evaluations
- Performance discipline documentation
- Shop improvement teams participation
- Maintain and improve 5S standards
- Correct behavior or policy violations and escalate as required
- Praise solid performance and escalate
- Communicate design and process improvement ideas
- Track and communicate man hour status and goals
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience with GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, oxy-fuel cutting, and plasma arc cutting
- Basic PPE knowledge
- Knowledge of measuring devices and basic tools
- Ability to operate forklift safely
- Ability and knowledge to rig properly and safely run an overhead style crane
- Knowledge of amperage, wire speed, and consumable replacement
- Quality standards and drawing comprehension
- Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc.)
