About the Role
Performs general fabrication processes to produce aircraft propeller parts and blades. Operates general equipment and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Works from a variety of media and documentation
- Improvises setups and exercises constant mental and visual attention to prevent errors
- Sets up and maintains precise tool configurations
- Uses pneumatic tools, mechanical hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and gauges
- Completes general shop math and uses a computer for data entry and retrieval
- Reads and interprets blueprints and company and industry specifications
- Highly dedicated to meeting customer commitments and incrementally improving the process
- Encourages continuous improvement, recommends solutions, and assists with implementation
- Inspects own work once job proficiency is reached
- Physically able to lift and push/pull heavy items
- Follows all safety guidelines for procedures and equipment
- Actively participates in daily ergonomic stretching exercises
- Completes daily tasks without supervision; takes the lead on important projects
- Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and takes on challenges
- Requires no instructions on routine work; general instructions given on new assignments
Requirements
- High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification
- Less than 2 years of experience (varies based on performance/skills)
- Ability to use simple arithmetic, measuring instruments, and blueprints
- Self-starter with action-oriented mindset
