Fabrication Team Member - McCauley - Columbus, GA

About the Role

Performs general fabrication processes to produce aircraft propeller parts and blades. Operates general equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Works from a variety of media and documentation
• Improvises setups and exercises constant mental and visual attention to prevent errors
• Sets up and maintains precise tool configurations
• Uses pneumatic tools, mechanical hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and gauges
• Completes general shop math and uses a computer for data entry and retrieval
• Reads and interprets blueprints and company and industry specifications
• Highly dedicated to meeting customer commitments and incrementally improving the process
• Encourages continuous improvement, recommends solutions, and assists with implementation
• Inspects own work once job proficiency is reached
• Physically able to lift and push/pull heavy items
• Follows all safety guidelines for procedures and equipment
• Actively participates in daily ergonomic stretching exercises
• Completes daily tasks without supervision; takes the lead on important projects
• Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills and takes on challenges
• Requires no instructions on routine work; general instructions given on new assignments

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification
• Less than 2 years of experience (varies based on performance/skills)
• Ability to use simple arithmetic, measuring instruments, and blueprints
• Self-starter with action-oriented mindset
