Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Organize different metals and materials for machine operators.
- Operate saws, drills, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Follow work orders, drawings, and instructions to produce accurate parts.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Essential Job Functions
- High school diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a production plant preferred
- Ability to use hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment.
- Basic blueprint or drawing reading skills preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to perform multiple tasks, with strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and willing to learn and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 40 pounds.
- Equipment operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses with side shields, hearing protectors, hard toed safety shoes, protective gloves, and aprons as needed.
- Work schedule is based on a 10 hour schedule with overtime required based on business needs.
