Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise the operation of various types of fabrication equipment in a job shop atmosphere.
- Oversee day-to-day production, operational, and fabrication activities.
- Records accurate information for all production orders.
- Plan daily requirements and schedule use of shop equipment.
- Responsible for the supervision of daily cleaning of work areas.
- Resolves quality related problems for warehouse employees.
- Trains team to specified standards on fabrication equipment and safety requirements.
- Attend all scheduled company & safety meetings, conducts those meetings as required.
- Always follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices.
- Communicate daily needs with subordinates and delegate work effectively.
- Resolve basic equipment issues or escalate for immediate repair.
- Other duties as required by company needs.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Working in a warehouse facility within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated/unheated and periodically noisy.
- Fast-paced moderately stressful, constantly changing day to day work environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, as needed.
- Required to wear proper PPE in warehouse.
- Willing to work overtime, as needed.
Required Background, Competencies & Expertise
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, interpret and use tape measure and other tube fabrication equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Understand all aspects of operations.
- Works in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner.
Preferred Background, Competencies & Expertise
- Understanding of SPS policies and procedures.
- Prior front line leadership experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures.
