What You'll Do
- Lead daily shop operations, from project planning through to completion, managing resources and workflow efficiently.
- Supervise, train, and support shop personnel to meet our quality and productivity goals.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align fabrication schedules with project priorities and deadlines.
- Review fabrication drawings and compare them with shop plans and field measurements to maintain accuracy.
- Drive a culture of safety by enforcing policies, maintaining PPE and tools, and promoting accountability.
- Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure all materials meet specifications and standards.
- Manage inventory through regular counts, material requisitions, and overseeing staging for job site delivery.
- Complete daily reports and proactively communicate progress, challenges, or delays to Project Managers.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient shop environment following 5S principles.
What We Are Looking For
- Experienced leader with a background as a Shop Foreman or Fabrication Shop Manager, ideally in commercial glass or related construction fields.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting fabrication drawings and work orders, with solid knowledge of storefront, curtain wall, and glazing systems.
- Organized, communicative, and able to juggle multiple projects while supporting your team.
- Committed to safety, with a genuine interest in fostering a responsible work culture.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, moving heavy materials, and working at heights when necessary.
- Willing to obtain forklift certification and hold a valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check.
- Dependable work ethic and hands-on approach, ready to lead by example in a dynamic shop environment.

Working Conditions
This role is based in a fabrication shop that experiences various weather conditions and the usual sounds and bustle of a construction environment. Safety is a top priority, so PPE and protective gear are provided and required. The work is hands-on and physical but fulfilling for those who take pride in seeing projects come to life through their leadership.
