Fabrication Shop CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
• Working closely with engineers and designers to bring new concepts to life
• Fabricating, modifying, and repairing prototype components

Qualifications

• A minimum of a current SECRET Clearance is required
• A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing training or similar industrial experience

Requirements

• Experience in Setting up and operating both CNC and manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, laser etchers, waterjets and EDM machines, to produce high-quality prototype parts
• Fabricating, modifying, and assembling prototype components from a variety of materials, including metals (aluminum, steel, titanium) and plastics
• Performing in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM) to ensure parts meet strict tolerance and quality standards
• Working directly with the engineering and design teams to provide feedback on part manufacturability, suggest design improvements, and troubleshoot issues

Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
