Job Summary
Principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Work with CNC programs, blueprints, company standards, work instructions, and performs necessary calculations using shop math to complete tasks related to making aircraft parts.
- Apply edge fill compound to honeycomb panels.
- Receives and verifies raw materials (i.e., wood, aluminum, plastics, etc.) on carts from the warehouse using information such as the CAMS Order and Nest sheet.
- Perform quality checks of fabricated items.
- Communicate and interact with programmers and management to understand intricacies of programs and to efficiently operate the machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete tasks within assigned time limits.
- Determine work to be accomplished to complete assignments within established schedules and plan accordingly.
- Accurately log computerized labor data collection for time and attendance tracking.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Select materials from stock when applicable.
- Record operational data such as lot number and material FLR number, and documents information into CAMS, as required.
- Makes and prints parts identification labels by using the ID machine and attaches labels to completed parts when applicable.
- Cleans machines and equipment at different time periods (i.e., every Friday), or as needed, by using cleaning agents (i.e., Windex, Lysol); and maintains cleanliness of workstation areas using 5S standards.
Non-principal Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine principles.
- Computer proficient.
- Ability to set up and operate one type of CNC equipment related to the CNC machining process or in the fabrication area.
- Ability to work from documentation such as drawings, F-Standards, preparation packages and 3D models.
- Good working knowledge of math and geometry and able to work in both Metric and Imperial units of measure.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and rework.
- Power tool training certified within 90 days of assignment.
- Completion of LMS training requirements for level l within 90 days.
- Working knowledge and use of calibrated measuring equipment.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Programming knowledge and/or experience.
- Ability to solve practical problems when needed.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Compensation And Benefits
- The compensation for this position typically falls between $22 and $29 per hour/per year.
- This position is or is not eligible for overtime.
- This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance.
- Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
